NHRC Supports Efforts of UNCHR

The National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) expressed today its support to the efforts of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights (UNCHR) in the Arab World during a meeting between Dr Ali bin Sumaikh Al Marri, President of NHRC and Head of the OHCHR Middle East Regional Office. AlMarri said that it was suitable time to hold a number of training workshops to achieve common goals.

The two sides reviewed challenges facing the Arab World and the role of the national institutions and governments in solving them. They stressed on the importance of cooperation to develop the capabilities of national human rights institutions.
