The given agreement was signed by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokaev, President of Kyrgyzstna Sadyr Japarov, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The Presidents of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan were present at the summit.
The following documents were signed:
– resolution of the member states of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea on extension of the powers of the Fund’s President;
– joint statement of the consultative meeting of the Central Asian leaders;
– concept of cooperation of the Central Asian countries in the framework of multilateral formats;
– regional program “Green Agenda for Central Asia”
– roadmap for development of regional cooperation for 2022-2024.
“Today we will sign the agreement on friendship, good neighborliness and cooperation for the purpose of development of Central Asia in the 21st century. I am convinced this document will produce a positive impact on further rapprochement of countries of the region and consolidation of the joint efforts in addressing arising challenges and threats. This is a historic moment and I hope this agreement will become a strong basis for universal prosperity in Central Asia,” President Japarov said at the Central Asian summit.
